Women's Ministry at FPC Macon

She Is Clothed With Strength And Dignity; She Can Laugh At The Days To Come. -Proverbs 31:25

The Women's Ministry at First Presbyterian Church is an intentionally intergenerational community committed to helping women know Christ and make Him known. Through prayer, the study of God's Word, fellowship, service, and discipleship, we seek to deepen our relationship with Jesus while encouraging one another to grow, serve, and faithfully follow Him together.

Bible Studies & Small Groups

Our Women's Bible Studies provide opportunities for women of all ages to grow in their knowledge and love of God's Word. Through faithful biblical teaching, meaningful discussion, prayer, and authentic community, women are encouraged to deepen their faith and build lasting relationships with one another.

wednesday Morning
Bible Study - Psalms

Women of all ages are invited to join us beginning September 2 as we study the Psalms of Ascent together. We gather each week from 9:30–11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, beginning with large-group teaching and testimony before breaking into small groups for discussion, prayer, and fellowship.

This group provides an opportunity for women who are unable to attend the Wednesday morning study to participate in meaningful discussion and community.

Wednesday Night
Bible Study - Ecclesiastes

Ladies, you are warmly invited to join us for Weight of a Breath: Joy, Grief, and the Reality of Hebel, a Bible study through Ecclesiastes.

Together, we will consider the beauty, fragility, joy, and grief of life “under the sun” and be reminded to place our hope in God alone.

Come grow with us in reverent joy, deeper hunger for God, and faithful obedience. Taught by Alleli Ferland

Meal Trains

One of the simplest ways we care for one another is by providing meals during seasons of joy and difficulty. Women’s Ministry coordinates meal trains for families welcoming new babies, those who are sick, and those walking through grief. These meals are a tangible way to show the love and care of Christ to our church family.

Mentoring

We believe women grow best when we walk alongside one another. We are always looking for women who are willing to invest in the lives of others through encouragement, prayer, and discipleship. Consider using your experiences and wisdom to mentor another woman in our church family.

Special Event Support

Many of our women help create welcoming and meaningful experiences at FPC through decorating, setup, and behind-the-scenes support for events like the Equip Conference, Missions Conference, and Women’s Conference. These opportunities are a wonderful way to use your creativity and serve alongside others.

Welcome Team

The Welcome Team helps create a warm and inviting environment at FPC. Team members serve on Sunday mornings and at special events—including Women’s Ministry gatherings and church-wide events—by welcoming guests, offering encouragement, and helping others feel connected.

Nursery

Help care for our youngest members by serving in the nursery on Sunday mornings and during special events. Nursery volunteers provide a safe, loving, and welcoming environment where children can be cared for while families participate in the life of the church.

Children's Ministry

There are many opportunities to serve our children and families at FPC. Whether through Sunday School, special events, or other ministry needs, volunteers help create a welcoming environment where children can learn, grow, and know the love of Christ.

Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry is always looking for volunteers to invest in the lives of students. Join the Sr. High Meal Team by helping provide dinner on Sunday nights and creating a welcoming space for students to gather and grow together.

Flower Committee

The Flower Committee helps beautify our worship space each Sunday through thoughtfully created flower arrangements. This ministry is a wonderful opportunity to serve through creativity while contributing to the beauty and worship experience of our church family.
